Dr. Mrs. Vandana Lulla is the Director and Principal of Podar International School (IB & CIE) and Director of Podar Group of Schools undertaking the International Curriculum. She is also the Dean of Podar World College offering the London School of Economics and Political Science Programme from the University of London and Podar International College offering the B.A. (Hons) Business Management Degree from the University of Wolverhampton.

Her determination to provide quality education has led many parents and students placing utmost faith in the organization. Thus this has been instrumental in developing the brand ‘Podar’.

She has attained a doctorate degree in “Managing learning disabilities using Technology.” She has more than a decade long experience in the education industry. She has travelled extensively and undertaken various international trainings in USA, UK, Australia, Singapore, Japan and Dubai for the IB and CIE programmes and have imparted the same to her staff in the school.

Due to her vast expertise in the field of International Education, she was on the advisory board of the Cambridge International Examination, UK. She is also appointed as an inspector for the ministry of Dubai, to inspect schools across the UAE by CFBT, U.K and as an Accreditation team member on the CIS Accreditation Team for inspecting schools.

She has been invited as a speaker for several educational organizations and presented papers in USA, UK, Japan, Sri-Lanka and Israel.

She is regarded and respected by all parents for being extremely approachable. This has lead to Podar International School being ranked No.1 for best Parental Involvement.

Under her astounding leadership and maintaining high institutional quality, her School has secured a hatrick in terms of “Best School Award” by Digital Learning, Hindustan Times. Her students have topped in the world and in India.

She has also been one of the very first pioneers to introduce I-Pad and 3D technology in the classrooms and thus, under her leadership, her school was awarded consecutively the E-India Public Choice Award, 2011 and Best Use of Technology for teaching and Learning 2012. She has also undertaken international projects on adding global dimension into the curriculum using technology which lead to Podar International School being bestowed twice with the International School Award by the British Council.

Her prime aim is to give back to the society in the form of community service. She has used technology to train more than 100 students with learning disability and teach children who are suffering from cancer.

Her school undertook a unique initiative to paint the walls of 21 Police Stations in the west region of Mumbai and a project “Beautification of Traffic Park at Cooperage” with the Mumbai Traffic Police Department. During the 26th July, 2005 floods, Podar International School adopted 147 children affected by the floods and the entire educational expenses were taken care of. Hence her school was awarded thrice the Mother Teresa award by IDF.

She has been bestowed with the Rajya Puruskar Award by Maharashtra State Government for selfless work done in the field of education and the ‘Global Accreditation Award’ by the British Council for undertaking a research project on developing higher order thinking skills in students.

Her passion is never ending and infinite. Her dream is to place Podar International group of Institutions on the global education map by transforming it into a world-class university.
