Prof. Kurien is the Regional Director of the D A V Group of Schools and a well-known Educationist and a noted Administrator.

His various stints in the field of education include contributing Administrator and Academic-in-charge with Jyoti Bhuwan Residential School in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh, Administrator with Fr. Agnel Multipurpose High School and Jr. College, Vashi, Navi Mumbai. He taught English, History and Social Studies up to Class X besides looking after the overall administration of the school.

Earlier, he was the Administrator / School Head (Academic and Administrative) with St. Lawrence High School, Vashi, Navi Mumbai, Administrator with D.A.V. Public School, Balkum Thane, Founder Principal D.A.V. Public School Airoli, Navi Mumbai.

Besides being a thorough educationist, Prof. Kurien has authored several articles and books for parents and teachers, students and counselors. He has penned and distributed several booklets to parents to teach children values of life.

A book dedicated to people to reach their full potential in their various capacities – this book, ‘Born to Win’ is yet to be published.

Books and booklets include ‘Perfect Love’, ‘Teachable Moments’, ‘Reach Out’, ‘Roshni’, ‘Positive Strokes’, ‘Roots and Wings’, ‘Mirrors of Life’, and ‘Disha’. A book named ‘Love Stories’ guides and fills young parents with love for their children.

Prof. Kurien has written several articles on children and parenting as a columnist for “First Edition”; a weekly published from Seva Sadan, Bhopal and contributed articles from time to time on children and parenting issues in The Times of India.

He has visited several schools, motivating students of different classes from Class IX to XII with powerful video presentations and talk on how to meet the challenges of growing with poise and courage.

Prof. Kurien has been a very active person in his social life and has initiated, supervised and completed several welfare projects during early eighties including construction of houses, establishing Pre-Primary Centres and Balwadies and helping to construct drinking water wells for the tribals and poor people in the district of Jhabhua as well as at Ashta, Bhopal and Indore in Madhya Pradesh.
