M G Sreekumar has been adorning film music world for more than two decades. A natural artist, gifted with a voice that is at once resonant and mellifluous, MGS has been enthralling music lovers with delightful music.

Born in a family of carnatic musicians, and groomed by the musical stalwarts, MGS has mastered the classical art form in both the raga and laya aspects. He started his music career by accompanying his brother, M.G. Radhakrishnan for his carnatic musical concerts. Born in Haripad, Alapuzha District, Kerala, his father, Malabar Gopalan Nair was a well known singer too. MGS has been trained in the Indian classical Carnatic music style.

MGS has been striding the musical field with his stature of preeminence absolutely intact, which is a tribute to the qualitative dimensions of his music. MGS has been an icon in the south Indian film world. His voice is God given and suits every mood and every age. He has lent his voice to almost all contemporary actors of south India, having sung in more than 1000 films. He has also been the music director of several cinemas and music albums and he produced a classic film "Ardhanaree" subject based on Eunuchs. He has also acted in some of the music albums. He has penned and directed devotional music videos and CDs. He has won several awards and accolades in his long walk in the music world. He has sung with Latha Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Shreya Ghoshal, S. Janaky, Sujatha Mohan, Dr. K.J. Yesudas, S.P. Balasubramanyam, Hariharan and many other great singers. MGS has developed a niche for himself in the annals of music world at a very young age.
